My friend Nicole Rahmi organises The Oxford Christmas Market. It’s the third year of the market and it started out wonderful and yet it just gets better. If you drive it is very much worth the drive to Oxford, but if you’d like lots of lovely German mulled wine or just don’t drive, the Oxford Tube bus doesn’t cost much and is a fairly easy ride from Victoria Coach Station in London.
I didn’t go last year because I couldn’t make it but I will be there this year. It really lifts your spirits and reminds you of the innocence of childhood but with the addition of mulled wine and a little more pocket money.
I mention this now so that you know about it and not because I think it’s ok to put decorations up at this time of year. That said I say do whatever makes you truly happy.
2 – 18 December 2011
Thursday – Saturday 10am – 8pm, Sunday – Wednesday 10am – 6pm
The Oxford Christmas Market is a German-style Christmas Market that takes place in the heart of the city and includes beautifully decorated wooden stalls offering wonderful Christmas gifts and seasonal treats.
Come along and enjoy the magical atmosphere. Local choirs and brass bands will perform Christmas carols throughout the 17 days, adding to the festive atmosphere, and a small Victorian carousel will again delight the children.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Oxford Christmas Market!
