Yorkshire Vintage: Saltaire Vintage Home & Fashion Fair

The Saltaire Vintage Home & Fashion Fair looks just wonderful. I would love to do a vintage bus or railway tour or England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and then to pastures of far off lands….it’s enough going to fairs near to me. I need wings really. Wings would be good and I could make them look pretty. What’s needed is a vintage dragon or dinosaur, wooly mammoth maybe…a lovely old but throughly lovely wooly mammoth to take me, and whoever would like to join me, on a vintage whirl wind tour of the loveliness around these parts, and others, oo er and mrs indeed!

Rose & Brown fairy story:

Once upon a time in a village called Saltaire, in the fine county of West Yorkshire, there lived an eccentric painter called Caroline Brown. Caroline had a dream of setting up a divine little shop, full of the loveliest vintage things, and bursting with treasures handmade by local artists and designers.

One fine day Caroline entered a local competition called Enterprise Island, where she met similarly mad creative folk. After reaching the final she found a world full of hope and possibilities, but sadly the wicked beast of full time work still held her in its sway.”
